What's the news?
Cars and fashion go together well (although let's try to forget that Range Rover Evoque 'styled' by Victoria Beckham) so it's no surprise that Spanish carmaker SEAT has teamed up with one of its country's leading labels to create a modish city runabout, called the Mii by Mango.
Exterior
Mii by Mango badging gives the game away, although there are some specific paint hues, one of which is called Nude (no, really) that is teamed with dark grey alloys. If you don't feel like driving round in the Nude, you can have Deep Black metallic with silver wheels. Privacy glass plus contrasting side trim and door mirrors round off the Mango.
Interior
Diminutive it may be, but the Mii by Mango has a leather and perforated Alcantara interior with contrast piping and stitching. MbM branding also finds its way onto the door sills, floor mats and key fobs, while a fairly lengthy standard equipment list incorporates remote central locking, electric windows, air conditioning, Isofix anchor points and airbags everywhere. SEAT Portable System Live chucks in satnav, Bluetooth connectivity and audio streaming too. And the pictures show a little handbag holder on the glovebox... good Lord.
Across the whole Mii range, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring and Hill Hold Control have just become standard fit, so the Mango benefits from these additions as well. And if all that isn't enough, £690 gets you the Style Pack, which adds a panoramic sunroof and front fog lights to the bulging specification.
Mechanicals
The Mango gets the, er, fruitier 75hp version of the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, which together result in 108g/km CO2, 60.1mpg combined and a 0-62mph time of 13.2 seconds.
Anything else?
You can order the Mii by Mango now in SEAT dealers, with first deliveries expected in August. It's the flagship model of the Mii range, and it'll cost £10,995 for a three-door or £11,345 for the five-door.
