SsangYong, a Korean company not renowned for producing stylish cars, is set to reveal its e-XIV concept at the Paris Motor Show this month; and it looks pretty good.
With styling cues seemingly taken from the Range Rover Evoque, the e-XIV (meaning 'electric - eXciting user Interface Vehicle') is designed to be a B-segment crossover utility vehicle. Measuring in at just over four metres long and less than two metres wide, the e-XIV is similar in size to the Evoque; but looks to be much more efficient.
Along with charging the batteries via a mains socket, a small capacity petrol engine will step in to charge the car on the move if electricity levels get too low. The car also features solar panels built into the all-glass roof to further aid charging.
More information and technical details of this concept are set to be released in a couple of weeks at the Paris Motor Show.
The Paris Motor Show opens on 29th September and runs until 14th October.
