What's the news?
Audi has released a new entry-level version of its popular Q3 and is already predicting that the 140hp 2.0-litre TDI quattro will be the most popular model in the line-up.
Exterior
Nobody is going to know that you are being sensible as despite the entry-level tag the Q3 2.0 quattro 140 looks the exact same as any other Q3. Driveway bragging rights are maintained.
Interior
It may be the entry-level model but that does not mean the 2.0 quattro is short on kit. SE and S line specifications are available with the former getting dual-zone climate control, a Concert audio system with 6.5-inch colour screen, preparation for SD card navigation, Bluetooth and iPod connection. S line carries a £2,750 premium but brings with it interior styling enhancements in addition to 18-inch alloys, unique exterior details and xenon lights.
Mechanicals
Under the bonnet of the new model is a 140hp version of the proven 2.0-litre TDI engine. Fitted with start-stop and recuperation technology for lower emissions it funnels its power through a six-speed manual transmission and Audi's surefooted quattro all-wheel drive system. Capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in 9.9 seconds the new variant also returns 49.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 149g/km.
Anything else?
The Audi Q3 2.0 TDI quattro 140 is available to order now from £26,510.
