Prices for the Subaru BRZ have been announced with the two trim levels - SE and SE Lux - ranging from £24,995 to £27,995. This matches Toyota's pricing for the GT 86. If those prices are too much, a more basic S version is expected to arrive in 2013.
Standard equipment for both models includes 17-inch alloy wheels, torque sensing limited-slip differential and dual-zone air conditioning. SE Lux models get heated leather seats in addition to the leather-trimmed steering wheel, hand brake and gear lever fitted to the SE.
Optional equipment includes an automatic transmission in place of the six-speed manual gearbox. Customers can also specify satellite navigation for £1,000 and special paint at £500.
Like all new Subarus the BRZ benefits from the company's 'Everything Taken Care of' (ETCo) aftercare package. This covers minor bodywork and wheel damage and even includes a monthly wash.
