Audi has updated its A5 range with a new set of headlights, revised engines and suspension changes to the Sportback, Coupé and Cabriolet models.
Every A5 now comes with stop-start to improve economy and emissions, with the popular 175bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel now offering 60.1mpg and 122g/km carbon dioxide emissions in the A5 Coupé when fitted with a manual gearbox.
A new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine joins the line-up with 268bhp. The S5 Coupé now comes with the same 328bhp supercharged 3.0-litre V6 as the other S5 models instead of the old 4.2-litre V8 unit. With this new engine the S5 Coupé manages 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds.
Other changes to the Audi A5 range include new rear shock absorbers to give improved ride and handling, while restyled 17-inch alloy wheels are standard across the range. There are also changes to the A5's electric power steering system to give the driver more feel.
Audi has made other small changes to the cabin of the A5 line-up, and outside there are bold new headlights with LED lights similar to the latest A6 saloon's. There are also a new front grille and bumper, while redesigned rear lights and bumper finish off the exterior revisions.
The first new Audi A5s will reach UK customers in December, with the order book opening in September.
