This is the Vauxhall Astra VXR Arctic Edition, which is essentially a bells and whistles run out for the car before it's replaced. Vauxhall doesn't say that though.
Just 500 will be made, each costing £720 more than the
standard VXR but boasting about £2,000 worth of extra stuff. That includes heated leather Recaro seats, window tints, 19-inch black rims, lowered sport suspension and ventilated front brake discs.
That little lot, in addition to the actual Astra VXR it's attached to, costs £23,595. For another 920 notes you can have a full panoramic sunroof - apparently a first for a VXR. File that fact under 'first date gold' in your brain box.
All Arctic editions are painted white with black roofs and mirror caps. Performance stays as was, meaning a useful 6.2-second sprint to 62mph and a not so useful 152mph top speed from a 237bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. It's available now.
