Vauxhall is to release two new specifications named Expression and ES, which are set to undercut the current entry-level model prices by up to £3,675. The lower priced ES specification will be available on the Insignia and the new Astra, while the new Expression trim will be offered on the Corsa, Astra, Astra Sports Hatch, Zafira and the Astra Twin Top.
The new options mean savings for customers, such as the Corsa Expression that is priced at £9,995 - over £1,000 less than the current entry model. The new Astra Expression comes in at £13,995, which is £2,000 lower than where the current Exclusiv range starts.
The Insignia saloon also benefits from the lower graded ES model, reducing in price by nearly £1,700 to £17,120. Vauxhall states that the Insignia ES is not only lower in price compared to the outgoing Insignia S spec, but also features more equipment, including 17-inch 'Structure' wheels and an MP3-compatible CD player.
Both the ES and Expression models are available now.
