Alpine has come up with a couple of new editions of the glorious A110 mid-engined sports car, in the form of the limited-edition A110 Légende GT and the A110 Color Edition 2020. Both of the Légende and the Color Edition are limited to 400 examples of each worldwide, and we can deal with the Color Edition quite quickly - it's basically the more hardcore A110S finished exclusively in the historic Sunflower Yellow paint (it's from Alpine's 1960s past), with yellow detailing inside and lots of carbon-fibre bits; once the 400 examples have been sold, between now and the end of 2020, the colour will be retired from Alpine's palette, and as it's essentially an A110S then it should be around £60,000 or thereabouts. Moving on to the Légende GT, it comes in three colours: Mercury Silver, which is new to the Alpine colour choices; Deep Black; and then Abyss Blue. Pale-gold Alpine monograms and 18-inch diamond-cut Serac alloy wheels, also finished in the pale gold, provide a bit of contrast and this particular A110 has translucent white LED taillights. Relax, anti-fans of 'Lexus clears', they're not too bad on the French machine. Inside, the backlit door sills feature an Alpine emblem, while the six-way adjustable Sabelt comfort seats are trimmed in Warm Amber leather with matching hide on the door cards. Brown stitching, a 12 o'clock marker on the steering wheel and then glossy carbon-fibre trim elements with a unique copper weave set off the look, while a build-order numbered plaque on the dash completes the Légende GT's interior. This limited A110 also comes with a three-piece custom luggage set, finished in the same colour as the seats and designed to fit in the car's boot. The Légende GT runs the 252hp iteration of the 1.8-litre turbo unit, so 0-62mph takes 4.5 seconds and the car has a top speed of 156mph. Several features are fitted as standard: there's an active sports exhaust, uprated Brembo brakes, parking sensors, a reversing camera and a Focal stereo system all to enjoy. The Légende GT's price is expected to be around £59,000 in the UK, which puts it about £10,000 up on the standard car.
