Audi has updated the entire A5 family - Coupe, Cabriolet and Sportback all - for the second-gen coupe's midlife update. All cars gain revised front-end styling, which now features the three-slot vents above the enlarged Singleframe grille (cue one '1984 Audi Sport quattro' reference, right here), with a different rear diffuser and exhaust arrangement. Inside, the A5 line-up gains the MMI touch infotainment on a 10.1-inch display in the dash, but its cabin architecture is such that it doesn't yet benefit from the three-screen affair that has become the norm in all the top-end Audi series. Also, the drivetrain choices for the revised regular A5s are all mild-hybrid electrics (MHEVs). Meanwhile, the S5 drops petrol power with the facelift and switches to a 347hp/700Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel as seen in the S4 and SQ5, and one which is only 2hp off the same unit in the S6 and S7 Sportback.
