It's facelift time for the current 'B9' fifth-gen Audi A4, which gains new LED headlights and a reshaped Singleframe grille, some different swage detailing down the side, an interior with an 8.8-inch touchscreen for the MMI (with more connectivity and functionality) and 12-volt mild hybrid tech on the TFSI models. Six engines will be offered at first, with between 136- and 354hp, and yes, that last one is the S4... which, like the SQ5, S5, S6 and S7 before it, has now 'gone diesel': specifically, a 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 700Nm of torque to back up that horsepower figure. The changes for the A4 amount to every variant, not just the saloon, so expect to see the fresh looks and tech on the Avant and the allroad quattro, too. The one model exempted from this is the monster RS 4. Facelifted Audi A4s should be available to order from autumn this year.
