What's all this about?
Bentley has outlined what it will be displaying at the Geneva Motor Show in the coming days - and while we're never ones to ignore a Bentayga with a 550hp V8 or the all-new Continental GT, it's the 'exciting new model' that's planned to be there which we're really keen to see.
Oh, what car is this?
Ah. We can't actually tell you much more, other than it has not been seen anywhere in the world before Geneva. By contrast, the Bentayga V8 is making its motor show debut in Switzerland, while the Continental GT hasn't been to Geneva before - even if it has been seen at other shows and even driven by some motoring critics.
Who will be unveiling the 'exciting new model'?
Adrian Hallmark, Bentley's new chairman and CEO, who is making his first public appearance in the role in Geneva.
Is there anything else Bentley will be showing off?
Yes, the Mulliner personalisation division of Bentley will use a Flying Spur W12 to display the latest aniline leather and open-pore wood veneers that are now available through its services. Finished in Golden Oak, the aniline hide is said to be the highest-quality leather that is possibly available, while the open-pore walnut veneer 'provides a more natural look' for the cabin. Alongside this plush Flying Spur, the Bentayga V8, the Conti GT - for which Bentley says customer deliveries should commence in summer - and the exciting new reveal, there will also be some interactive displays, like the digital car configurator, a Bentley Network app experience and a selection of the company's technical showcases - including an E-Mode display, a V8 engine and noise isolation cut-away.
Anything else?
The Bentley press conference takes place at 8.40am CET on March 6, with a livestream and repeats available at www.bentleymotors.com.
