What's the news?
Two special versions of the Vauxhall Adam have been released; the Adam Black Edition and Adam White edition are inspired by smartphone design according to their maker. Production is limited to 250 units with a £14,995 price tag. Both models come with in-car connectivity technology along with special paint and trim.
Exterior
As the names imply the two editions are finished in either black or white. Body trim has a brushed aluminium finish and there are 18-inch alloy wheels painted to match the body colour.
Interior
In keeping with the wheeled smartphone theme Vauxhall's IntelliLink infotainment system and Siri Eyes Free voice control are standard. Siri is compatible with iO6 - or later - compatible iPhones and is activated by controls on the steering wheel. Interior trim is colour co-ordinated to match the bodywork including two-tone leather on the steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake. As a finishing touch there are metal 'sports pedals'.
Mechanicals
Adam Black Editions and Adam White Editions come with one engine choice, 1.4-litre, 87hp petrol power. Combined fuel economy is 51.4mpg with CO2 emissions of 130g/km.
Anything else?
We're not sure whether Vauxhall was going for laughs or groans with its paint colour names; the official titles for the two shades are, 'I'll be black' and 'Saturday white fever'.
