What's the news?
Bentley has announced that it will be producing a limited run of Le Mans Edition Continental and Mulsanne models later this year. Annoyingly, despite Bentley's British heritage, the special editions will be sold exclusively in America.
Exterior
The outside is fairly unchanged. Customers will get a choice of exclusive colours for the bodywork; and bespoke alloy wheels come as standard.
Interior
Inside, the usual blend of space and luxury can still be found; albeit with a few more special touches. A Le Mans clock replaces the standard Bentley item; and both the headrests and kick plates gain embossed Le Mans Edition logos. Each model is limited to 48 examples and a numbered plaque features inside each one. Buyers will also have a wider range of personalisation options in the special edition models.
Mechanicals
No alterations have been made under the bonnet of either the Mulsanne or Continental; meaning that servicing and maintenance intervals remain the same as their standard counterparts.
Anything else?
The Continental GT Le Mans Edition will be available to buy in the second quarter of 2013; while the limited edition Mulsanne won't be around until quarter three.
Christophe Georges, President and COO of Bentley Motors Inc. said, "We're very proud and excited to celebrate our historic wins at Le Mans. The Le Mans Limited Edition models showcase our performance and handcrafted luxury through these unique, heritage inspired specifications."
