What's the news?

ABT has gotten its hands on the latest A4 saloon and Avant to create two more exclusive Audis. Dubbed the AS4 and AS4 Avant, the cars follow the traditional ABT recipe.

Exterior

Most of the bodywork comes from the standard A4; however, aerodynamic flourishes are present throughout. ABT has added a sporty front spoiler and mesh wing inserts around the front of the car and chunky skirts on the side. The back sees the addition of a spoiler, a new skirt and quad-exit exhausts.

Sports suspension lowers the car up to 60mm and ABT alloy wheels have been fitted. ABT recommends CR and DR-design rims, which are available with high performance rubber in either 19- or 20-inch form. Behind these wheels, new ABT-embossed black brake callipers can be seen.

Interior

ABT has not spoken of any changes inside; however, we would expect Audi's high quality S-Line trim level, possibly with a few optional extras added.

Mechanicals

ABT has tuned almost every engine available for the standard A4, comprising of two petrol and three diesel units. For daily use, ABT says the diesel of choice is the 3.0-litre TDI engine, which develops 300hp and 570Nm of torque in ABT tune. These figures are up from 245hp and 500Nm in standard Audi guise. ABT also highlights the 270hp 2.0-litre TFSI option for those who want a petrol engine.

To keep the car in check, ABT has installed sports suspension to lower the AS4's centre of gravity and improve handling; and fitted sports brakes.

Anything else?

Upgrades are available for the four-door saloon as well as the Avant estate.
