The Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 200 Airdream EGS6 has been re-homologated in light of changes to the management system. Carbon dioxide emissions are down to 91g/km and fuel consumption is reduced too.
No economy figures have been quoted in the press release but the emissions for the DSign variant drop from 99- to 91g/km. DStyle and DSport models, with larger alloy wheels see a reduction from 107- to 102g/km. Seventeen-inch alloys are a no-cost option for those two, bringing emissions down to the same level as the DSign.
Changes include a new battery management system and energy recuperation under braking and deceleration is said to be improved.
The reduced emissions mean company car drivers will pay less tax; the DSign now attracts 10% BIK tax and the DStyle and DSport are in the 11% band.
