If the LA Design Challenge award was based on the best storyline then Subaru would win it hands down, as its movie concept is one that we could actually imagine watching on the big screen. Set 200 years after the Earth has stopped rotating (presumably because the moon has finally buggered off into space - seriously that's how it works, look it up) and humanity is living on the dark side of the planet. That might seem a bit odd considering the other side of the Earth has a permanent summer but is also bombarded by the sun's lethal electromagnetic waves.
Unfortunately, the crystallised mineral that is used as fuel for the megacity that we all live in (which is no doubt somewhere in America - it's a Hollywood film after all), is running out and the only place it can be found is the 'Daysphere'. Enter the Subaru Horizon, a car specially developed to withstand the electromagnetic field, chemical imbalances, scorching heat and raging storms. Undoubtedly powered by an advanced boxer engine and utilising Subaru's rally derived all-wheel drive system, the Horizon brings the intrepid team of explorers, and their cat, in search of the mineral.
