Renault appears to be taking a leaf out of the books of both Pagani and Lamborghini by offering yet another limited edition run-out model of the Clio R.S. The Clio Renaultsport 200 Raider brings back a name not seen since the Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider and is limited to 50 individually numbered cars.
Based on the Cup chassis - lower ride height, stiffer springs and dampers and red Brembo brake callipers - the Raider will only available in two colours: matt Stealth Grey and Diavolo Red with contrasting gloss black to the roof, spoiler, diffuser and door mirrors. The black paint also extends to the Interlagos alloy wheels, which, for the first time on a Clio, come in 18-inch diameter and are wrapped in the same Bridgestone RE 050A tyres that are found on the Mégane RS Trophy.
Inside, passengers will be treated to a leather interior with those up front getting Recaro seats. Standard equipment is impressive with Bluetooth, USB connectivity, automatic climate control and Renaultsport carpet mats all fitted as standard while customers can order either a Carminat TomTom Live satellite navigation system or a Renaultsport Monitor that displays 0-62mph time, quarter mile and lap timer plus a G-meter.
