The Hyundai i20 Blue has become the most CO2-efficient car Hyundai has ever put on sale. With just 98g/km of CO2, it's London C-Charge exempt, showroom tax exempt and VED exempt.
On sale now, all that exemption equates to a 76.4mpg combined fuel economy figure.
The i20 Blue has ISG (that's Hyundai-Kia speak for stop-start), low rolling resistance tyres, covered rear suspension (presumably for better airflow) and a 1.4-litre 89bhp diesel engine.
With the same engine, but not the other fuel saving bits, the i20 1.4 diesel Style model is 14 percent dirtier, with 111g/km CO2.
Hyundai says it'll cost £63 to fill the i20's tank at the moment, for a 755-mile range. Equipment includes 15-inch alloys, Bluetooth with voice recognition, electric heated door mirrors and air conditioning. It costs £13,195.
