Vauxhall's touring car team, VX Racing, signed off in style last weekend by winning the manufacturers', team and drivers' titles in this year's BTCC series. In a grandstand finish, James Thompson won the title by a single point by virtue of setting the fastest lap in the final race. VX racing's Yvan Muller finished second in the championship.

This was Vauxhall's 4th consecutive year of title wins with the Astra coupe, a new BTCC record. Honda finished runners-up with SEAT finishing an excellent third in their first full year of competition.
