Hamann alive, it's the Victory II Gallardo
Every once in a while a car comes along that genuinely takes you aback. The Hamann Victory II is one such Lambo-based beast.

Only the Skoda Superb can match the Hamann Victory II for most appropriate car name. This Lamborghini Gallardo is indeed one serious automotive victory. Everybody wins.

Based on the LP 560-4, it's the second Gallardo-based Victory (hence the name), and compared to the last car comes with more power, more carbon fibre and more width.

'Nobody really knows' why the Gallardo isn't equipped with wing doors, says Hamann, so the company has duly rectified the situation. In addition, the matte black and red car gets a host of body kit add-ons.

They include a new front apron, rear fender extensions, extended side skirts, new (and rather dramatic) side intakes, a carbon fibre or fibreglass (your choice) spoiler tipped in red, a carbon air inlet in the roof and an optional carbon layered bonnet. It's sitting on a shiny set of 20-inch varnished lightweight rims too.

Power goes from 562- to 572bhp thanks to an ECU upgrade for the V10 engine and torque rises to 424lb.ft. Top speed is 204mph.

There are no mechanical or exhaust upgrades, but Hamann does add a muffler to the tail pipes for more aural aggression.

The interior features a set of 14 extra carbon parts, including for the steering wheel, door handles and dashboard. The seats are custom, and if you don't like what you see, Hamann offers a full bespoke interior service.

No word on price yet, but if you call Hamann without an American Express Black card they might laugh at you.
