Office junior clanger or clever publicity stunt? Either way, Porsche's website temporarily carried a picture of the all-new Cayenne - set for a
Geneva Show debut - before it was promptly taken down. Doh!
The car was one of a spread of Porsche models featured on an image found on the maker's online car configurator. We don't know how it got there and why it was taken down so quickly, but Porsche refuses to comment on it.
That's why we think it was an accident - as viral marketing goes, briefly putting a new model on a car configurator is subtle, to say the least.
But the surprise is ruined, in any event. Here's the new Cayenne, people. Looks quite nice, doesn't it? We haven't got official details yet, but we know it will be bigger, lighter and more economical than the current car when it goes on sale in September. There'll be a diesel, again, but it'll be much feistier than the
current car, and a hybrid will turn up at some stage too.
The Geneva Show opens its doors to us on March 2nd.
