There's a new sign fixed to the gates of the Brabus factory that reads 'beware of the beast!' That's because its latest pet project is this, the GL 63 Biturbo.
Now, we know that a behemoth Brabus with a ridiculous power figure is nothing new, but that doesn't make this new one any less awesome. This thing walks on 23-inch forged rims too. That alone qualifies it for a regular slot on MTV Cribs.
And what Lil' Bow Wow (or whoever) will be showing you around come the next season of Cribs is a seven-seat SUV with absolutely no off-road ability whatsoever, but it is capable of a 4.7-second sprint to 62mph because it's got 641bhp and 626lb.ft of torque. Bow Wow.
The Brabus styling department has gone for, surprisingly, a lovely shade of black again, and the car gets trademark addenda like paired up front fog lights, daytime LEDs, a blacked-out grille and a wide body kit. There are, of course, four exhaust pipes at the back.
In the cabin that's unusually tasteful and discrete, there's a sea of quilted leather, a dash top and steering boss coated in stitched hide and much carbon fibre. As usual with these things, you can have what you want - just give Herr Brabus a call and Helmut's your uncle.
The engine features strengthened pistons, an ECU remap, a bigger intercooler and lubrication via better synthetic oil. That's as well as the pair of turbochargers bolted onto the AMG 6.2-litre V8 of course.
And the price? Here's a clue: add up the cost of six - yes, six - GL 350 CDI BlueEfficiency models and you're in the right cricket pitch. £320,000 please. Better get to making that new hip hop single.
