Mad, bad and almost dangerous to know tuner Brabus is best known for its insane V12 engine transplants to unsuspecting Mercedes cars. However, its latest creation is very nearly sensible by Brabus standards as it has stuck with the
Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG's existing 6.2-litre V8 engine and only upped the power by 30bhp.
The Brabus B63 S tweaks take the V8 motor to 547bhp, which helps improve the top speed to 200mph (obviously the speed limiter is removed...) and drops the 0-62mph time down to 4.3 seconds. As well as the increased power, torque takes a small jump from the original's 464- to 479lb.ft at 5,400rpm. Another change to the mechanical package by Brabus includes a new limited slip differential, while a 225mph speedo is an option to help owners keep track of their new, faster B63.
Brabus' new sensible side is underlined by the modest optional front lip spoiler available for the saloon and estate versions of the E 63. There's also the choice of a rear spoiler and diffuser to further improve aerodynamics, while a range of 18-, 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels are on offer.
