Koenigsegg has gone all magpie with its latest limited run version of the CCXR. It's called the Trevita and comes with a finish to its carbon fibre bodywork that gives a diamond sparkle.
Trevita means 'triple white' in Swedish, so this Koenigsegg comes with a brilliant shine to its white bodywork. Only three Trevitas will be made and Koenigsegg has not announced prices, but expect it to be even more costly than the CCXR it's based on.
The reason for the Trevita is that Koenigsegg has perfected a new method of giving carbon fibre a shine not usually achievable. It's called the 'Proprietary Diamond Weave' and the Swedish firm hopes to sell the technology to other companies, so the Trevita is a showcase for the new finish.
Underneath the sparkling bodywork, the Trevita shares its components with the CCXR. That means a 1,004bhp twin-turbo V8 engine running on bio-fuel returning shattering performance. The trio of wealthy buyers get the full Monty of equipment when they buy the car. The Trevita will come with a double carbon fibre rear wing, paddle-shift gearbox, ceramic brakes and even a hydraulic lifting system to help it over speed bumps.
