As unveils go Porsche's teaser image revealed today of its new Panamera isn't giving a great deal away, showing only a small portion of the new car's nose. Porsche is claiming that its limited view of the front end 'clearly proves that the four-door Panamera is a genuine Porsche all the way'. If you read that to say it looks like a 911, Cayman and Boxster then you'd be correct, the Panamera unmistakably coming from the same bloodline as its two-door relatives.
The teaser image is joined by website material, Porsche showing videos of the Panamera in disguised form out testing. Nothing new there then, images of the Panamera in various states of disguise having been around for years. More details will be drip fed in time, Porsche taking out full double-page ads in leading newspapers and magazines. Interestingly it describes these as offering a 'sneak preview', so don't expect those pages to show the car in its entirety. That'll happen later in the year, prior to a motorshow unveiling early in the New Year. We can't wait for that day, the Panamera's gestation and reveal a long and painfully slow one.
