The sensational Alpine A110 has already been turned into a couple of track-focused competition cars in the form of the A110 Cup and A110 GT4, but if you know the French car's history then you'll know that its finest hours came on rally stages - namely, the famous Monte Carlo and also scooping the first-ever WRC title in 1973. So it is with some excitement that we can tell you the A110 Rally has arrived. Developed by Alpine's motorsport partner Signatech, it has an aluminium chassis, three-way hydraulic suspension, powerful Brembo brakes, an FIA-homologated rollcage, Sabelt bucket seats and six-point harnesses, as well as a six-speed sequential gearbox, a limited-slip diff and more than 300hp from its mid-mounted 1.8-litre turbocharged four-pot engine. Signatech and Alpine are trying to get FIA R-GT homologation for it, which will mean early 2020 deliveries to customers who have paid around £134,500 (excluding VAT and local taxes) apiece.
