It's 70 years since Aston Martin first raced at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, and so the British luxury brand is the featured marque at this year's Festival of Speed. On display at the Sussex extravaganza of pace will be the DBS Superleggera Volante and the impending seven-speed manual Vantage AMR, while the electric future of Aston - embodied by the Rapide E zero-emissions supersaloon - will be shown; indeed, the Rapide E is making its dynamic debut in the UK, as it will drive up the hill from the First Glance paddock. For fans of Aston Martin SUVs, and there's a combination, then the DBX will also be making a run up the hill in heavily camouflaged pre-production guise; at least show-goers will get to hear what the DBX sounds like. Also present will be four Lava Red Vanquish Zagatos, a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation, the Vulcan AMR Pro and the Vantage GTE racer. Aston Martin's president and group CEO, Andy Palmer, said: "We are a business that is currently experiencing a momentous period of growth. Attending the Festival of Speed allows us to showcase our latest developments in electric and SUV technology while celebrating the rich history of our past. Aston Martin is proud to have been involved in the Festival of Speed since it began in 1993."
