I'm sorry, hang on a mo - isn't that about a £22,000 premium on a 'regular' M850i xDrive?

Something like that. But you're paying for exclusivity. Just 400 of these First Editions will be built in total and do you want to know how many are coming to the UK? Well, we'll tell you: ten. Ten of 'em. That's all.

Crikey, that IS limited edition stuff! What else do I get for this huge pile o' cash?

Right, the First Edition gets a BMW Individual paintjob in the form of Frozen Barcelona Blue metallic. That teams with BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line, a package which makes the side window surrounds, the kidney grilles, the air breathers and the tailpipe trims black. In the arches reside 20-inch, Y-spoke, M light alloy wheels in Jet Black, while an M Carbon roof and M Carbon exterior pack is also thrown in for good measure. Moving within, there's an exclusive interior trim from the (yes) BMW Individual range, with the Ivory White/Night Blue full Merino leather cabin enhanced with colour-coded goodies like the M leather-covered steering wheel and the BMW Individual Alcantara roof liner. There's Black Piano detailing on the dash, bearing a 'First Edition 1/400' motif, while a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is part of the deal. As are Crafted Clarity glass applications on the start/stop button, the iDrive Controller, the volume control and the illuminated gearshift lever. Finally, the First Edition gets all of the Visibility, Technology and Premium Packages as standard.

Any power upgrades?

No. Although, as the M850i has 530hp and 750Nm in the first place, we're not entirely sure why you even asked us that question at all.

And when can I order my one of the ten?

If you're feeling lucky, punk, then the BMW M850i xDrive First Edition goes on sale from June.
