What's all this then?
This is a Bentley Continental GTC Galene edition.
Well, it always was a bit of a whale of a car.
Pardon?
Whale. Baleen is a whale, isn't it?
Galene, not Baleen. Galene was the Greek goddess of calm waters.
Ah, of course. So why's she on a Bentley then?
She's not, really. This is a limited edition of the convertible Continental GTC, one of the last that will be built before the new one arrives later this year. It takes inspiration from luxury yachts.
What, it smells of fish and makes everyone throw up?
Not quite. Actually it's built in collaboration with luxury yacht maker Princess, and features Galcier White or Sequin Blue paint, a blue roof, lots of open-pore 'pinstriped' walnut wood everywhere (even in the boot) and 21-inch wheels shaped like propellers.
Wow, that's kind of impress... hang on, is that an actual painting of a yacht on the dashboard?
Yes. Yes it is. I was hoping you wouldn't notice it. It's hand-painted by artist Jaume Vilardell.
It's a bit vulgar, isn't it?
Yup, thankfully they're only going to make 30 of these.
