What's all this about?
This is a rendering that gives us more of a clue as to the looks of the Hyundai Ioniq multi-hybrid electric vehicle due out next year.
Multi-hybrid? What do you mean?
Come on, now, get with the programme - just a few days ago, we brought you initial teaser pics of this vehicle, which is due out in 2016. And we also told you that the Ioniq will come with not one, but three hybrid or electric drivetrains: there's a full electric vehicle (EV); a mild petrol-electric hybrid (HEV); and a plug-in petrol-electric hybrid (PHEV) too.
So what can we glean from these images?
That the exterior, coupé-like in profile and designed to offer the minimum of wind resistance, bears some of the brand's hallmarks, like a hexagonal grille and C-shaped headlights. And the interior will be 'elegant and clutter-free'. So that all sounds dandy.
When will the Ioniq go on sale?
Later in 2016, after it has made debuts in Korea (January) and at the Geneva and New York car shows in March. Expect more details to be released in the coming months.
