What's all this about?
French marque Alpine, a subsidiary of Renault, is returning to Le Mans with a one-off concept car celebrating its 60-year heritage.
Which car will it use?
The Alpine Celebration, a beautiful race-inspired coupé that obviously takes many of its influences from Alpine products made since 1955 - none more so than the gorgeous A110 'Berlinette'.
Is the Celebration going to race at Le Mans?
Sadly, not; instead, it will perform a parade lap in the wake of an A110 to give it maximum exposure to a new generation of fans.
Can I see it anywhere else, other than Le Mans?
The Alpine Celebration will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in late June and a reunion event in Dieppe in September, called the 'Alpine Saga', if you want to see it in the metal but don't have tickets for the French endurance race.
Are there any spec details?
No, not at this stage - nor any confirmation that anything like it might make some form of production. Though we suspect it will...
