What's all this about?
If you've got an Audi S6 but wish you'd ordered the RS 6 then ABT Sportsline can help with modifications to increase power output. There are also exterior, interior and suspension modifications for people who want to alter their car's appearance either instead of or as well improving the performance.
What has been done under the bonnet?
A new ABT Engine Control Unit helps lift the power from 450- to 550hp with peak torque going from 550- to 680Nm. The modifications have been tested on the dynamometer and on public roads; for additional piece of mind ABT backs up its work with what it describes as 'comprehensive warranties'. As well as extra power the speed limiter settings are changed to give a claimed top speed of 180mph.
And the other stuff?
A variety of body accessories are available including vents for the front wings, mirror caps with exposed carbon fibre and a rear spoiler made from lightweight composites. ABT offers four types of alloy wheel: the ER-C 20-inch design comes in silver or gun-metal while the DR is a 21-inch wheel in gun-metal or black finish. A special control unit for the air suspension allows the modified S6 to sit up to 20mm lower than standard.
To spice up the interior, ABT can supply logoed floor mats, door entrance lights that project the ABT logo onto the ground, a replacement cover for the engine start button and install LED change-up lights in the steering wheel.
