What's all this about?
MINI has revived one of the brand's favourite limited edition model names for the Countryman Park Lane, unveiled in Geneva. Named after one of the most prestigious streets in London, the Park Lane gets a unique colour scheme and special design details. There's no word on pricing but that will be confirmed before the model goes on sale in July.
What do you get?
The body is finished in Earl Grey metallic with a new paint colour - Oak Red - used for the roof, mirror caps and the optional sports stripes. More Oak Red is used as an inlay on the chrome side scuttle trim just above the 'PARK LANE' insignia. Eighteen-inch alloy wheels are standard, finished in dark grey. Customers can also specify the Chrome Line Exterior at no extra cost.
Inside, the Park Lane script is repeated on the door sills as part of an exclusive design with Oxide Silver door bezels and cockpit trim with Cross Stripe Grey trim on the centre console surround. Cooper S and SD models come with fabric/leather sports seats, a sports steering wheel and automatic air conditioning.
What's under the bonnet?
Depending on the market, up to eight powertrain options are available with front-wheel drive and MINI's ALL4 all-wheel drive system for each engine. Petrol power is in the 122hp MINI Cooper Countryman and 190hp MINI Cooper S Countryman. The diesel options have 112- or 143hp for the Cooper D and Cooper SD respectively.
