What's this then?
This is the Citroen Berlingo Mountain Vibe, a car that seems to be trying to combine outdoors, Bear-Grylls-y ruggedness with some add-on pinky bits to appeal to... girls, we guess?
Hmmmm. Sort of like Hello Kitty goes mountaineering?
Don't you mean Meow-ntaineering?
Oh dear...
Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, the Berlingo Mountain Vibe gets very pale Mountain Green paintwork with lots of pink highlights - the foam protectors on the roof rack, the wheel arches and even the snow chains are glazed in pink.
Mechanically, the Berlingo gets the electronic Grip Control traction control system that, theoretically, allows it to tackle the sort of tricky terrain that would normally require four-wheel drive. The roof gets a 'Modutop' panel, which includes extra glass to light up the cabin and, yes, there's plenty of pink in there too.
Citroen says that "it is easy to imagine this vehicle scaling the Swiss mountains with its boot full of equipment for mountain sports: climbing, snowboarding or snowshoe walking." Well, we will get a chance to find out - it's a concept for now, but after its debut at the Geneva motor show in March, it's headed for production.
