What's all this about?
Mitsubishi has added a new model to the L200 pick-up range. The L200 Challenger is on sale now, priced from £19,799 on the road and it comes with a high level of standard equipment.
What do you get?
You can spot the Challenger by its 17-inch alloy wheels and privacy glass. Standard equipment includes climate control, Bluetooth and leather for the steering wheel and gear lever; leather seats are available for an extra £1,590.
What about the mechanicals?
Under the bonnet is a 2.5-litre diesel engine developing 175hp and 400Nm of torque; 41hp and 86Nm more than the basic L200. Power is transmitted through Mitsubishi's Super Select four-wheel drive system; this allows the driver to select two- or four-wheel drive with a lockable centre differential and low ratio.
Anything else?
The standard warranty on the L200 is for five years or 125,000 miles, plus there's three-year European breakdown assistance. Customers can also take advantage of a three-year servicing plan for £600 and a range of finance offers are available.
