It might be better known for its plug-in hybrid EV model, but now you can have the Mitsubishi Outlander SUV with a petrol engine. Complementing the PHEV and the turbodiesel versions in the line-up, the Outlander Petrol has a 2.0-litre MIVEC engine delivering 150hp and 195Nm of torque. Driving all four wheels through a 'stepped' CVT with paddle shifts, the Outlander Petrol does 0-62mph in 13.3 seconds and a top speed of 118mph, with WLTP combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 32.5mpg and 196g/km respectively. All Outlanders come with seven seats and a generous equipment list as standard, while the Petrol has the new 'Dynamic Shield' front-end design and revised exterior looks. The Outlander Petrol starts at £27,680 for the Juro model, rising to £29,680 for the more luxurious '4'-specification version.
