What's all this about?
Remember that B-segment SUV that Korean car firm SsangYong trailed around endless motor shows in the past few years? Called either the X100 or XIV? Well, now the company has officially named the production version.
And what's it to be called?
The Tivoli.
Why?
That's a town near Rome that's famed for the gardens of the Villa d'Este. It signifies SsangYong's attempt to move the brand a bit more upmarket.
Is that why it still looks like a concept?
Partly. These are the latest rendered images of the outside and inside, and you can see how SsangYong is trying to improve the perceived quality of its products. The outside is pretty chiselled, while the interior looks good.
When will it go on sale?
In its native Korea, from January 2015. No details on a European launch as yet.
