What's the news?
German car tuning specialist JMS teases with advance photos of a forthcoming Mercedes A-Class bumper upgrade kit. Described as a 'light upgrade kit', we're told it will be available by the end of January.
Aimed at owners of the current generation A-Class that launched in 2012, the more aggressive bumper kit appears attractive for two reasons. Firstly, it offers drivers of standard A-Class exteriors an opportunity to have a similar AMG bumper look, for a lot less cost. Secondly, JMS said the bumper upgrade is easy to do. Mounting directly onto the existing standard A-Class bumper, it's held on by several screws and glue. Presumably, making this upgrade something that A-Class owners could tackle themselves at home.
It looks good, too. The advance photo from JMS shows a more pronounced front lip and wide front diffuser that's AMG-esque to our eyes.
The bumper upgrade kit should be priced at about £250 and available directly by email or through a network of international shops. The nearest appears to be at http://www.superspeed-racelook.com/.
