What's all this about?

This is the last-ever model of Jaguar's F-Pace SUV, as the company aims to transition to an electric vehicle manufacturer only from 2025 onwards. It's called the 90th Anniversary Edition, celebrating nine decades of Jaguar's 'pioneering design, performance and innovation'.

Sounds a fitting farewell. So what engine do we get?

Actually, you've got a choice - 90th Anniversary Edition is kind of an 'add-on' spec to all of the R-Dynamic F-Paces, which means S, SE and HSE. The only models you can't have as 90th Anniversary Editions are the 400 Sport and the fearsome SVR range-topper, which is now only sold as the monster 575hp spec which landed in 2023. That means you can even have your 90th Anniversary Edition as either a mild-hybrid or the plug-in petrol-electric.

Oh, I see. What spec changes are there, then?

Subtle badging, in the main, as well as Sports seats inside with contrast stitching, an ebony headlining and aluminium interior trim. Options include diamond-turned alloy wheels, privacy glass, a panoramic roof and 3D surround camera technology. Prices start at 46,805 for the R-Dynamic S 90th Anniversary Edition with the D200 diesel MHEV powertrain.

Hmm, can you please tell me a little more about the SVR 575 at this point?

Definitely not going quietly into the night, the SVR 575 Edition uses the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with the eye-catching headline horsepower number, as well as 700Nm of torque. That's enough to see it hit 62mph from rest in a smidge under four seconds, while its active exhaust brings plenty of lovely, lovely noise. It also benefits from unique bodywork, Black Exterior Pack detailing, 22-inch forged alloy wheels, and an SVR-specific rear bumper with quad exhausts.

How will history view the F-Pace?

As a sales success for this British institution. Around 328,000 examples of the F-Pace have rolled off the line at Solihull during its life, so it's deserving of a send-off variant before it retires for good.

Rawdon Glover, Jaguar's managing director, said: "F-Pace has given new clients to the brand a choice of models, from the efficient plug-in electric hybrid to the high-performance F-Pace SVR. With its inherent quality and design leadership, it has delighted our clients globally.

"As we prepare for an all-electric future, the 90th Anniversary Edition is a fitting tribute to nine decades of pioneering design, performance and innovation."

You can order any F-Pace, from the 90th Anniversary Edition to the SVR 575, from Jaguar's website right now.
