What's the news?
In order to mark 90 years of the Quadrifoglio Verde - or Cloverleaf as we know it better - Alfa Romeo UK is offering its MiTo hot hatch at a special price of £16,995 on-the-road. This represents a saving of £2,000. For those that aren't aware of the Quadrifoglio Verde history, it began back in 1923 when an Alfa Romeo racing driver by the name of Ugo Sivocci placed the symbol of a cloverleaf on the side of his race car for good luck. As luck would indeed have it, he won the following race and ever since it has adorned the wings of all high-performance Alfa Romeo road and race cars.
Mechanicals
The Alfa Romeo MiTo may be small in stature but it is powered by a 170hp 1.4-litre turbocharged MultiAir petrol engine that is capable of propelling it from 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds before going on to a top speed of 136mph. Thanks to the car's relatively low weight, it still manages to return a quoted 47.1mpg with emissions of 136g/km. In addition to a powerful engine, the Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde is equipped with four-piston Brembo brakes, exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and the company's SDC active suspension system.
Anything else?
Unlike some special offers, Alfa Romeo hasn't attached any major terms and conditions to this one, meaning that all buyers can avail of the £2,000 saving, be they cash, HP or PCP customers.
