Chevrolet has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to become the official automotive partner to its latest movie, Turbo.
The story behind Turbo begins with a snail named - would you believe - Turbo, who ends up being sucked into the supercharger of a Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 drag car. The combination of Turbo's DNA, nitrous oxide and some DreamWorks wizardry turns the snail into a speed machine; complete with eyes that light up like headlights, a shell that blinks like taillights, and all the vehicular audio needed to turn himself into the fastest snail in the world. Lucky really, because all Turbo ever wanted to do was to go faster.
"In a film about a slow snail who dreams of being fast, who better than Chevrolet to give our hero his first taste of high-speed driving?" asks Anne Globe, Chief Marketing Officer at DreamWorks Animation.
"Turbo is one of the most anticipated films of the year, and we couldn't be more excited about this collaboration," comments Tim Mahoney, Chevrolet's Chief Marketing Officer. "Millions of future drivers will be inspired by Turbo to realise their dreams both big and small."
To celebrate the launch of the film on 18th October, Chevrolet will be taking part in various pre-screenings across the country in order to build new and deepen existing customer relationships.
Anything else?
Unfortunately, Chevrolet currently has no plans to build real-life racing snails.
