What's the news?
After a period of absence, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera will be making a return to this year's Salon Privé next month. The custom car builder will be rocking up to the show with a display that includes a unique Bentley Flying Star.
The car in question is one of just 19 Flying Stars the company will produce; and took, like every one of the 19 examples, 4,000 hours to produce. The one on display features a bespoke crystal blue paint finish (not pictured, clearly) and don't dare to ask the price tag. Like every model Touring Superleggera makes, the Flying Star was created under close observation of the undisclosed owner.
Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera first set up shop 80 years ago when it created a bespoke Alfa Romeo and a 1928 Isotta Fraschini. Now it's famous for world class quality, exceptional attention to detail and its lightweight construction methods that have been patented since 1936.
Anything else?
The 2013 Salon Privé will run from 4th-6th September at West London's Syon Park. Visitors to the show are treated to Pommery champagne, a lobster lunch and English afternoon tea in typical Salon Privé fashion. Tickets can be ordered at www.salonprivelondon.com.
