What's the news?
The Chevrolet Trax is on sale now, from £15,495, offering 'SUV style without SUV running costs' according to the manufacturer. Two trim levels, three engines and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive are available for customers to choose from.
Opening the range is the 1.6-litre, 115hp, front-wheel drive LS. Even this base model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, roof rails, front fog lamps and rear parking sensors. On the inside there is air conditioning and Bluetooth.
Top of the range is the LT specification, starting at £17,495. Three engines are available: 115- and 140hp petrol units or a 130hp diesel. Higher specification models can be identified by 18-inch alloys and skid plates. In-car entertainment comes from Chevrolet's MyLink Connected Radio with a seven-inch colour touch screen and Siri voice recognition.
Carbon dioxide emissions range from 120g/km for the front-wheel drive diesel version to 153g/km for the least powerful petrol engine. All models are fitted with stop-start.
Anything else?
All-wheel drive is available on the diesel and 140hp petrol models. The diesel is also available in two-wheel drive with automatic transmission.
