What's the news?
Chevrolet describes this as the most significant redesign of the Camaro since the model's re-introduction in 2006. If you liked how the old model looked, don't worry, the changes aren't that radical and it is still recognisably a Camaro. Prices start at £35,320 for the manual coupé with automatic and convertible versions also available. The 2014 model will arrive in the UK this November.
Exterior
A wider and lower grille and narrower upper grille are part of the new look, along with functional bonnet vents, all in aid of improved cooling and reducing aerodynamic lift. The back end gets a sculpted boot lid, horizontal tail lamps and a diffuser.
Interior
MyLink technology is standard, enabling the Camaro to connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The system features a seven-inch touchscreen, voice recognition and incorporates a rear-view camera. Satellite navigation is optional but there a colour heads-up display is included.
Mechanicals
As before the manual Camaro comes with a 432hp, 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine, while the automatic model gets a less powerful, 405hp, version of the same unit.
Anything else?
Remote start is on the options list, but only with automatic transmission. We're not sure how useful that would be, but it does have a certain novelty value.
