What's the news?
Demand for the Subaru BRZ in the UK has been so high that Subaru UK has arranged a larger annual allocation for the British market. At the same time the first details of a range of dealer-fit modifications for the model have been announced.
Limited supplies of the rear-wheel drive coupé since the model's introduction lead to long waiting times. With more cars available buyers should be able to take delivery of their new car within two to six weeks, depending on specification and colour choice.
The Managing Director of Subaru UK, Paul Tunnicliffe, commented: "The BRZ has been a sales success for us, but we've always struggled to match demand with supply. We're hoping that our larger allocation will address this, and we're confident that a greater number of car-loving buyers will now be able to appreciate the BRZ's blend of light weight, usable power and fine handling characteristics."
Anything else?
A range of performance, handling and styling modifications for the BRZ will soon be available to UK customers. The parts have been developed by Pro-R and approved by Subaru UK; they will go on sale in the coming months through the marque's dealer network.
