What's the news?
Fiat has launched a limited edition version of its Punto model aimed at a younger audience. The Punto 'Jet Black' features styling changes inside and out and only 300 examples of the £12,000 special edition will be available in the UK.
Exterior
In case you haven't already guessed, the limited edition Punto can only be had with a metallic black paint finish. Matt black stripes run the length of the car and the Punto's traditional badges have been replaced by black items. A rear spoiler and side skirts have been added and the 17-inch, 12-spoke Sportline alloys have been given a smoked finish to match the rest of the body.
Interior
Yet again, black is the theme when you step inside. Both the steering wheel and gearstick are trimmed in leather and standard equipment levels are generous. Each model features climate control, parking sensors, cruise control, and a Blue&Me infotainment system complete with voice activation.
Mechanicals
Under the bonnet is Fiat's 77hp 1.4-litre 8v engine, meaning that younger drivers should find it fairly easy to get insurance on the sporty-looking Punto. Fiat has also fitted sports suspension to keep things under control in the bends - and five airbags should things go wrong.
Anything else?
The Fiat Punto Jet Black is on sale now across the company's UK dealer network. The special edition is also available through a PCP scheme for just £99 per month.
