Volkswagen has made some changes to the Polo line-up by giving customers more equipment as standard - as well as introducing a new trim level.
For a kick off, cruise control and rear parking sensors now come as standard on all models - apart from the entry-level 'S' version. In addition, the BlueMotion and Match variants now both come with an alarm. The Match has also been renamed in line with the extra equipment, and is now dubbed 'Match Edition'. The extra equipment on these two models raises prices by £135; however, prices remain the same for the rest of the range.
As well as adding equipment, Volkswagen has expanded the Polo line-up by introducing the R-Line Style model. Based on the entry-level Polo S, the new version is fitted with the sporty R-Line body kit and 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as body coloured mirrors and door handles. Buyers also have a choice of four paint finishes. With low powered 1.2-litre engines and prices starting from £11,740, Volkswagen has aimed the Polo R-Line Style squarely at younger drivers.
Prices for the Polo range still start at £10,490 and rise up to £20,055 for the range-topping five-door GTI model. Order books for the enhanced range are open now.
