What's the news?
Honda has released pricing details for the revised CR-Z. Base-level Sport models are on sale from £20,550 and top-spec GT versions cost £2,500 more at £23,050. All areas of the current CR-Z have been updated for the refresh.
Exterior
From the outside, the latest CR-Z comes with a slight change to the front bumper, which holds a revised front grille. A diffuser has also been included round the back. Two colours have been added to the pallet too: Aurora Violet and Energetic Yellow. To help give the car a sportier look GT versions now come with 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
In terms of styling, nothing too drastic has been changed inside; Honda has simply altered the colour scheme slightly, and created more space in the door pockets. Drivers will notice the addition of a Sport Plus (S+) button on the steering wheel, however. Pressing this gives an electric boost of up to 10 seconds under acceleration.
Mechanicals
As well as the Sport Plus system, Honda has been at work on the 1.5-litre petrol engine; which now produces 118hp. The car's electric motor has also been upgraded from 10- to 15kW. The result is an increase in overall output to 135hp and 190Nm of torque. The 0-62mph time has been cut by up to a second and top speed is 124mph. Fuel economy remains unchanged at 56.5mpg for Sport models; with 54.3mpg for GT versions.
Anything else?
Order books for the updated Honda CR-Z are open now; and deliveries are expected to start in January.
