With temperatures dropping and gritting lorries already on red alert, Renault has usefully now created windows for its Twizy electric car.
Launched earlier this year, when temperatures were slightly higher, the windowless scissor doors were something of a novelty in the unusual Twizy - if impractical when the heavens opened.
Renault's window attachments should put an end to this though; the initial metal frame fits onto existing Twizy models without the need of a mechanic or tools. The window then zips into place. An opening in the window allows access to the door handles; and small vents in the front and rear of the windows should prevent the car steaming up on the inside.
The attachment costs £295 plus VAT and has been tested for UV resistance, corrosion and cold temperatures. The option goes on sale in November across the Renault dealer network.
