VW has cut the prices and improved the specification on several models in the Golf range. Starting with £150 off the Golf S and stretching to £910 on
GT FSI and TDI models the revised prices combine with spec. changes to offer more choice through the Golf range. For example, the S gains climate control as a standard fit and the SE now gets electric rear windows and the convenience pack.
VW has sold 60,000 Golfs in the UK since the latest model went on sale in January 2004 helping to make it the best selling car in Europe. These specification changes, and the launch of the image enhancing GTi, aim to keep the Golf ahead of the new Astra and Focus in the sales charts. We've driven the new GTi and the review will shortly be online. Keep an eye on the main
Road Tests page for the review.
